Servicio Aragonés de Salud, in collaboration with Stacks, will carry out an Electronic Prescription pilot test in Centro de Salud de Teruel. This new system will connect Health Centers with chemist’s in order to report physicians’ prescriptions. Chronic patients of Teruel will not need to go to the health center to get the prescriptions, so this will avoid long waits and a lot of printed prescriptions. This will clear health centers and there will be more time to attend other patients that really needs it. Concepts like patient’s confidentiality or communication between physicians and pharmacists will be basic aspects of this new system.
